To Whom it May Concern

The Tumby Bay RSL Sub Branch had the pleasure of having Lieutenant Ron Read (Rtd) as our guest speaker at our Annual Dinner on the 28th July 2024 speaking on the Coast Watchers during WW2 in New Guinea and surrounding islands.

Ron spoke in a passionate way that had all those present hanging on his every word. He had researched his subject well and everyone present appreciated the research Ron had done on this subject.

Your address to the Tumby Bay RSL was greatly appreciated by all members of the RSL and visitors who attended the Annual Dinner.

We recommend Lieutenant Read to anyone seeking a great professional speaker.

Thank you once again on behalf of all members.

To Whom It May Concern,

Lieutenant Ron Read RAN (Rtd) from Adelaide, was engaged by our organisation to attend our ANZAC DAY Dawn Service and following the service deliver the ANZAC DAY Address during a sit-down breakfast for several hundred people.

Ron spoke with passion and sensitivity – appropriate for this occasion – and above all, his address was extremely professional in its delivery.

We would recommend Lieutenant Read to any organisation who seeks a professional speaker on topics of Military History and certainly for an ANZAC DAY Address.

Yours faithfully,

Roger Francis

Battle in the Coral Sea Anniversary Dinner – May 2022 And May 2021

We attended both Dinners at the Naval Military & Air-Force Club where Ron delivered the Keynote address of about 30 minutes duration on the events leading to these significant naval engagements and the consequences thereto, and the outcomes for Australia, Japan, and the U.S.A.

At both Formal Black-Tie dinners, Ron delivered his very well-researched history of the topic with passion and deference. We consider him to be the quintessential Key-note speaker.
